In accordance to the objectives of this module, our team has been able to participate in community involvement as well to throughly explore the field of design on the environmental front. In hindsight, this project requires a lot of contribution on our part, especially teamwork and individual commitment as it is a long-running project and the building procedures are highly strenuous and tedious. However, we are glad that we managed to overcome the various adversities concerning the execution. We, as a team, believe that everything comes with a price, because these adversities are the inevitable hurdles we must pass to achieve greater things. They forced us to be resourceful and innovative. For instance, we turned one of the unwanted bookshelves into a shoe rack.                        

 

Eventhough this project lies heavily on successful outcomes, we believe that our collective effort in the meticulous execution of building the furniture is what makes it all the more meaningful. Whether or not this project is successful depends on the users. As mentioned before, the interactive bookshelves are designed for the children and youths of the home. We built it in such a way that they can creatively place the compact seating units in any way they want, and for them to comfortably seat themselves while reading. If our innovation can induce them to use the reading space more frequently and eventually pick up the habit of reading, then we can confidently say that our effort has come to fruition.
